Programming for Children

  • All camp programs are in person only.

  • Snacks will be offered to all children participating in Camp Shana Tovah.

  • Please note: None of the Har Zion offerings for children are drop-off programs. All children must be registered for all of the programs/services they attend.

  • Children attending the services for preschool children must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult.

  • Older children may attend Camp Shana Tovah services and activities unaccompanied.

  • FOR ALL CHILDREN - A parent or guardian must remain on the temple property as long as the child is in our care.

Camp Shana Tovah has two tracks:

Young Family / Preschool programs: Services at 10-10:30am on Day 1 of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur, and childcare for ages 18months to 5 years during all the High Holy Day services.

School age services & supervised activities: 11am-12:30, followed by 12:30-1:00 for teens, on both days of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur.

Camp Shana Tovah Services and Childcare for Preschool Children.

  • High Holy Day services for preschool children: 10-10:30am on the first day of Rosh Hashanah and 10-10:30am on Yom Kippur. These services are designed and led by our Preschool Director, Ms. Claudine.
    • Register for these services on this page (below).
  • Childcare for children ages 18 months to 5 years is offered for all High Holy Day services, in the temple's preschool wing. Adults can use this time to attend the main services.
    • You must register your young children to use Har Zion childcare. Register here for this childcare.

Camp Shana Tovah Services and Supervised Activities for School Age (Grades K - 7) Children.

  • Camp Shana Tovah services for older children are led by youth leaders and the Director of Education, David Schwartz.
  • The services, which begin at 11am, are followed by games and supervision lasting until 12:30, and then there is a teen program from 12:30-1:00.

Donations

We're excited about offering this programming for our youth on the High Holy Days! Having activities and supervision comes with extra costs.

Please contribute $18 per child per holiday to defray some of these costs (but if cost is a deterrent, please contact David Schwartz at dschwartz@wsthz.org).

We are delighted to share the holidays with your family. You will receive a confirmation email when your registration has been successfully submitted.
