Dear Friends,
Community has kept Jews flourishing through pandemics and challenging times for millenia.
Due to the pandemic, there is much need out there in our very own Temple Har Zion community. We have members who have been isolated for nine months. Others who are suffering financially.
I am proud of how much good work has already been done by our members to keep us all going.
Thank you to all who have responded.
For the months ahead, we are looking for 20-25 members of our congregation to work with our Caring Committee to make regular phone calls to other members, ascertain the need, and connect caring volunteers (those who are able to make extra portions of a meal, or do shopping...) to those who are requiring assistance.
This virtual community building is happening right now throughout the Jewish communities of our nation, as we support each other, and continue our generations long Jewish commitment to upholding each other through the trials and tribulations of life.
We are looking for members from all of our demographics! From preschool parents, to religious parents, to empty nesters, baby boomers, and our elders. Get to know your fellow congregants better and help us to continue to build and strengthen our community.
